About The Chord Academy Gold Coast

The Chord Academy Gold Coast is a boutique music school founded in 2024. Based in the heart of beautiful Paradise Point, we also teach in Nerang and Currumbin, and regularly host workshops all along the coast.

Created by Cass and her daughters, a family of passionate musicians, The Chord Academy is built on a love of music and a commitment to sharing it.

Our mission is to provide high-quality music education for students of all ages and levels. We believe music is an essential part of life, and we strive to inspire every student to discover their own love for learning, playing, and performing.

Cass Wood has been part of the music and entertainment industry for over three decades, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to her teaching. Her love for mentoring young musicians stems from her own lifelong journey in music, from performing to songwriting, and she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists.

With an acoustic style influenced by folk, pop, and musical theatre, Cass draws inspiration from legendary icons such as Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan, alongside contemporary artists like Noah Kahan and Gracie Abrams and Taylor Swift. Her wide-ranging influences give her a unique ability to connect with students across different genres and help them explore their own artistic voices.

Cass thrives on experimenting with new sounds and styles, encouraging creativity and self-expression in every lesson. She finds immense joy in guiding students as they grow in confidence and skill, and she takes pride in creating a supportive environment where each young musician can discover their potential and share in the same love of music that has shaped her own life.

Sienna discovered her passion for singing, dancing, and acting from a very young age, beginning competitions at just seven years old. 

Over the past five years, she has trained at performing arts institutions across Australia. She completed her Certificate IV in Musical Theatre at the National Academy of Performing Arts on the Gold Coast, and in 2022 was accepted into the highly regarded Diploma of Musical Theatre program at Brent Street in Sydney , where she trained under industry leaders including Cameron Mitchell, Lisa Callingham, and Veronica Beattie.

Sienna has gained valuable stage experience performing in a range of musicals and plays, including American Idiot (vocal swing and ensemble) and Blackrock (Cherie). 

Sienna is a talented singer/songwriter and is passionate about passing on her knowledge and love for performing to the next generation. 

She finds great joy in teaching and passing her knowledge on to the next generation.
